Amman, August 2019: Celebrating the long-awaited comeback of the legendary Toyota Supra to the global market after an absence of more than 15 years, Markazia Toyota launched a one-of-a-kind event for speed lovers and sports car enthusiasts in Jordan - between 2 and 16 August at Abdali Mall.

The two-week event welcomes those looking to test-drive the all-new 2020 GR Supra to compete in different competitions that simulate real-life racing contests using virtual reality (VR) technology, giving them the chance to experience the thrill and power of the model and discover the true meaning of exceptional sports performance. In an excitement-charged atmosphere, participants go head-to-head against one another in two main competitions; the first of which is designed for amateur contenders who will compete in the Gran Turismo racing game from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM over the course of the event. The 10 finalists will go through to the final round - with the winner receiving a VR toolkit.

The second competition is dedicated for experts who will engage in an actual karting race at the Manja International Circuit and Jordan Speed Centre, between 2 and 14 August . The top 10 finalists will enter the VR car racing competition at Abdali Mall - with the winner receiving a complete VR toolkit that includes a seat, PlayStation console, steering wheel and pedals.

Boasting the same power as the Toyota 2000GT - which swept markets worldwide in the 1970s - the all-new 2020 GR Supra returns to continue the phenomenal journey of the car, with its bold and advanced specs redefining the new generation of sports performance. In addition to its exquisitely crafted exterior - which is specifically designed to reduce air resistance - the 2020 GR Supra comprises a six-cylinder engine that produces 335 horsepower and features an eight-speed transmission with an impressive acceleration rate of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.3 seconds.
